De productie van al zijn zetels, meubels en verlichting is Frans. De tapijten worden met de hand geknoopt in Nepal.

Eileen Gray is geboren in Ierland. Daarna ging ze schetsen en de techniek van oosterse lak studeren in Londen en Parijs. Daar stelde ze haar eerste werken reeds in 1913 tentoon. Omringd door de leden van de 'Union des Artistes modernes' Pierre Chareau en René Herbst, werd haar werk opgemerkt door de architecten Walter Gropius, Le Corbusier en Mallet-Stevens.
