Coulours may appear different on the website than in reality. All mentioned prices and sizes are indicative and not binding. Possibly some rugs that are still online, are not available anymore in the showroom.

Veramin is a city in central Persia. The knotted rugs produced downtown only appeared rather recently. Early studies about Persian art in the 19th and 20th century never mention carpets. But there is also a quite interesting production of textiles and flatweaves made by the Kurdish and Turkish families living in the plains surrounding Veramin.

The mina khani pattern is one of the favourite motifs in Veramin, and the rare mina khani with a black background has always enjoyed a very distinct almost mysterious reputation. Literally, mina means mosaic or gemstone and khani (te)house. The motif, which has many variations, shows a symmetrical arrangement of flowers.
