Tina Gillen

Tina Gillen, born in 1972 in Luxembourg City, is a prominent painter known for her exploration of the boundaries between figuration and abstraction. She has been active in the art scene since the late 1990s and currently resides in Brussels. Gillen's work often involves deconstructing compositions and manipulating visual perceptions, creating a dialogue between her medium and the viewer's experience.
Her educational background includes studies at the Hochschule für Angewandte Kunst in Vienna and the Higher Institute for Fine Arts (HISK) in Antwerp. Since 2007, she has also been involved in academia as a lecturer in painting at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp.
Gillen's artistic contributions have been showcased in various exhibitions, further establishing her as a significant figure in contemporary art.
