Paul Haesaerts

Paul Haesaerts (1901–1974) was a prominent Belgian artist known for his diverse contributions to art and culture. Born in Boom, Belgium, he excelled as an architect, filmmaker, etcher, painter, screenwriter, carpet designer, and illustrator. Haesaerts gained international acclaim for his documentary work, particularly with the short film "Visit to Picasso" (1949), which won a BAFTA award and was recognized at the New York Film Festival.
